Faith doesn’t have to be massive to move mountains—it just has to be real. And sometimes, sis… real faith is just getting up anyway.
I remember being 21, thinking I had everything figured out. I moved out, only to learn my credit was destroyed before I even got a chance to build it. I had to settle for second-chance leasing for my first apartment — I couldn’t even get cable in my name. I was angry, not praying, just moving in survival mode. I even moved in with someone just to make it work. But that decision? Nearly cost me everything.
Fast forward: In 2014, after a rough season in Wisconsin and some deep family struggles, I moved back to Texas with no job — but I had one thing: faith. And guess what? The apartment complex gave me two months rent-free, giving me time to find work. I started seeing God for myself, not because someone told me He was good, but because He kept showing up in my chaos.
I started walking and praising God daily, dancing around my apartment complex on Forest Lane. That seed-level faith? It started growing. I launched my Virtual Assistant business and prayed for creativity — and guess what? The Creator answered.
My story isn’t perfect. I didn’t always make the right choices. But God? He kept guiding me anyway. I prayed for a home when I didn’t have a place to go. I wrote declarations on my walls and my doors (“God got us!” “He is our provider!”). I believed—and in March 2023, I walked into my house, not by chance but by faith.
I say all this to remind you:
