✨ Faith Bigger Than a Mustard Seed – Day 5: What God Said, He Meant – Faith Through Loss, Provision, and Promises
Scripture: Numbers 23:19 – “God is not a man, that He should lie… Has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?”
My mom used to say, “Fake it til you make it.”
But I’ve learned to say, “Faith it til you make it.”
Because listen, when life gets hard, pretending doesn’t work.
But faith will hold you down.
When I moved back home from Texas, I was in survival mode. I had always been the one to provide—for myself, for my family, for others.
But this time? I needed help.
And nobody around me could give it. That’s when I turned fully to the only One who could: God.
I walked a lot back then. Not just because I needed fresh air… but because I needed God’s presence.
I walked to worship, to pray, to talk to Him. I wasn’t seeing instant miracles. Actually, it felt like the opposite.
My car got repossessed.
I lost my security.
I had nothing but the clothes on my back and what I brought with me in my Jeep.
And eventually, even the Jeep was gone.
But then… the shift.
After the distractions were stripped away—after I had nothing left but God—I saw what He was doing.
He was anchoring me.
Not in things. Not in people.
But in His Word.
I lost friends. I lost relationships. I lost my mother. I came close to losing my mind.
But I didn’t.
Because even when I didn’t have people, I had a promise.
“God is not a man, that He should lie.”
And, let me tell you—He proved it:
- After losing my car, He blessed me with a job.
- After losing my mama, He blessed me with a car.
- And after letting go of my relationship the following year, He gave me a house.
That’s not coincidence. That’s covenant.
So today’s reminder is simple but strong:
If God said it, He meant it.
His promises are permanent—even when the path gets painful.
Declare it over your life today:
“I believe every word God said—and I’m walking like it’s already done.”
