✨ Faith Bigger Than a Mustard Seed – Day 10: Let Your Faith Shine – No More Dimming Your Light

Scripture: Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light so shine before others…”

Let me tell y’all something real.

When I was in college, I loved math. I showed up, did the work, and got ahead of the class. And then one day… my math professor looked at me and said,

“You can’t answer another question for the rest of the semester.”

I was too far ahead.

Too bright.

Too much.

Instead of letting that be fuel to rise higher, I let it shut me down.

I stopped going to class.

I stopped showing up.

I stopped letting myself shine.

And that pattern? It followed me for years.

Different places.

Different faces.

Same spirit of shrinking to make others comfortable.

But over time—especially as I grew in God and in business—I started seeing it for what it was: a trap. A lie from the enemy trying to convince me that who I am is “too much.” That I need to be quieter, smaller, softer so other people don’t feel uncomfortable around my calling.

But hear me, sis:

God did not create you to hide.

He created you to shine.

Now? I bring all of me.

• The creativity.
• The thinking outside the box.
• The big ideas.
• The testimony.
• The tears.
• The truth.

And guess what?

My clients love it.

People are drawn to it.

God is glorified through it.

Because what I’ve realized is this:

When you show up as your authentic self, you give others permission to do the same.

When people see you shine and still praise God, they remember it’s not about perfection. It’s about purpose.

That’s why I named my first business “City on a Hill.”

Because even then, God was showing me that my light wasn’t meant to be tucked away—it was meant to guide, warm, and inspire.

“My life is proof that faith works. I’m not dimming my light for anyone.”
